Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the SPENDI application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App. These Terms apply to all users of SPENDI, including users on free and paid subscription plans.

2. Description of Service

SPENDI is a personal finance and expense tracking mobile application that uses AI-powered natural language processing to record, categorize, and analyze your expenses. The App is available on iOS and Android and may include features such as chat-based expense entry, receipt scanning, budget tracking, multi-currency support, and financial reports.

3. User Accounts

To access full features, you must create an account using Google Sign-In or Apple Sign-In, powered by Firebase Authentication. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• All activities that occur under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

4. User Responsibilities

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the App
• Upload malicious content or attempt to breach the security of our systems
• Create multiple accounts to circumvent usage limitations
• Resell, sublicense, or redistribute access to the App

5. Subscription Plans

SPENDI offers the following subscription tiers, managed via in-app purchase (IAP) through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store:

All purchases are processed by Apple or Google. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial subscription periods, except as required by applicable law.

6. Intellectual Property

The SPENDI application, including its logo, design, AI models, code, and all related materials, are owned by SPENDI and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App solely for personal, non-commercial purposes. You retain ownership of the expense data you create.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

SPENDI is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from viruses or other harmful components. AI-generated categorization and financial insights are provided for informational purposes and should not be relied upon as professional financial advice.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SPENDI shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the App. Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these Terms. You may terminate your account at any time through the in-app settings or by submitting a deletion request. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately and your data will be deleted per our data retention policy.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of SPENDI shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If resolution cannot be reached, disputes will be submitted to binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the relevant jurisdiction.
